Let’s put it this way: everything we had heard about Hanoi is true: it is a noisy and polluted city (where you can actually see the smog), with a big mess in its streets shared between countless motorbikes klaxoning all the time, food stands, local people and tourists. A great contrast when you arrive from Japan where everything is so square, clean and well-organized!
But this is also what makes it fascinating for a Parisian couple like us!
That being said, we were lucky enough to meet 3 nice people from our hotel staff who gave us a bunch of tips about Hanoi, including the places to visits and tasty local to street food spots.
We also had the chance to enjoy the night market which runs only on week-ends.
