From Huế to Hội An

Shortly after visiting the tombs of the Nguyen emperors, we took a scenic road across the Hải Vân Pass to reach Hội An, the colorful city of Central Vietnam. On the way, we stopped for a photo-break at Lăng Cô Lagoon and then past Đà Nẵng, to visit temples in the Marble Mountains.

A few kilometers South from Đà Nẵng lie the five Marble Moutains, an impressive mix of Nature and Religion, with its many caves, tunnels and temples carved into limestone. We only climbed up the Water Mountain*, Thuy Son, as it was already quite late in the afternoon.

*Note that the five Moutains are named after the elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wood and Metal.
